Vision
Tumor biology guides patient care
Mission
Decrease Colorectal cancer Death by
Molecular early diagnosis
Molecular
imaging
Molecular
tests for selecting personalized therapies

The main objectives of DeCoDe are:
1. Developing and validating non-invasive and cost-effective screening tests for
early detection of CRC by stool- and/or blood-based biomarkers (WP A)
2. Developing and validating improved non-invasive molecular imaging for
early detection and staging of CRC by optimized MRI-based imaging technologies (including
image-agent development targeting novel tumor surface biomarkers identified via
proteomics approaches) (WP B) and image guided surgery (WP D)
3. Developing and validating predictive and prognostic biomarker assays for
personalized therapies in patients with primary (WP C) and advanced CRC (WP E).
4. Developing new PET tracers for metastatic CRC (WP F) in order to stratify
patients for surgical therapy
5. MTA to assess efficacy and cost effectiveness of novel tests
6. Communication and dissemination of scientific, technological and clinical
advances
